Introduction:
BlackBerry presented a new sophisticated high end smartphone
with latest features but in its traditional style and design. It offers a
secure software, physical keyboard and also fingerprint scaner with 12 MP rear
camera with dual flash and 8 MP front cam, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage in
just $549 in the US on May 31,2017.
We all know the rise and fall of BlackBerry. Because there
was a time when Blackberry was more than having a phone. But they didn’t change
with the times and succumbed to the charge of iOS and Android.
But now BlackBerry is trying hard to make a comeback for the
last 2 years. They launched the first Android powered Blackberry “Priv” but due
to high price, it became unsuccessful. And then DTEK50 and 60 came with mid
range price and became successful. And now, BlackBerry is back with its latest android smartphone,
the KeyOne.
Design
BlackBerry’s trendy look (Touch and Physical Keyboard) is
also available in BlackBerry KeyOne smartphone. It has a rubbersized back which
is not really a leather, but looks like.
Its has an aluminum fram which is scratch resistant. And the
new amazing thing is the fingerprint sensor inside the small space bar at the
bottom of the mobile. And it works really well with a near 0% fail rate.
It has also a “Convenience” button, which is not really,
because its easy to mispress. But during calls, it functions as a mute button,
which is useful.
BlackBerry KeyOne has 52 cumtomized shortcuts, every short
and long press gets you somewhere faster. Like you hold down on the “i” key on
home screen and you instantly get to Instagram. You can also select a suggested
word without lifting your thumbs from the keyboard. Slide up on the keys and it
will flick the word on to the screen. And the entire keyboard also acts as
trackpad, you can scroll through menus and web pages by lightly pet the keys.
BlackBerry KeyOne doesn’t have a dual nano SIM tray, which
is the trend now a days.
Design
BlackBerry KeyOne offers a trendy look of 4.5 inch Full HD
screen with a keyboard, like you have everything a keyboard and also a
touchscreen android phone.
Overall size of the phone is 5.5 inch and 3 inch width. Its
screen is much bright, colorful and give more space to the keyboard and track
pad like scrolling with a resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels. And many
productivity applications and interactive games fit to the size. But photos and
movies of fixed length give the BlackBerry KeyOne trouble.
KeyOne has a rear camera of 12 MP that captures large 1.55um
and do superb job in daylight and a good job in low light. Phase detect auto
focus for faster focusing and EIS (Electronic image stabilization) for steady
photos. And video for minimizing camera shake.
BlackBerry KeyOne has few modes like Photo, Pano, Video and
Slow motion and they are all in a mode menu. These are not available on the
screen all the times, which makes it little difficult. And front camera of 8 MP
is also great in daylight.
Software
BlackBerry KeyOne runs android 7.1.1 Nougat. It provides
access to Google Play Store apps, and a few enterprise focused programs and
interface tweaks of the blackberry too.

last between 26 to 35 hours. You can watch
a HD Video with full brightness.
And its charging speed is also good. It can charge 50
percent in 36 minutes. And it let you know the charging details and slowly
growing a red and then changes to green bar along the side of the screen.
