Apple Introduces “Hijab and Beard” Emojis, on the World Emoji Day

On this Monday, Apple Introduces new emojis in the newest version of its operating system iOS, macOS and watchOS with a variety of new interesting characters which will be released this year. It includes the scarf on the head of a baby and a man with a beard and 55+ others.

In 2012, Apple introduces the inclusive art of emojis LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, transgender, and questioning) couples. In 2014, African-American icons were presented. In 2015, added multiple skin tones. In 2016, female professionals, athletes and single parent homes.

Non-profit Unicode Consortium approves 60 new symbols for emoji as universal visual language and slowly slowly it is becoming much popular by representing the spectrum of humanity and our activities.


Alephandra Messer will be the part of Unicode’s emoji release of the person with Headscarf on Nov 12, 2017 along with 55 others. This symbol is for civil liberties, especially in US and Europe for the symbolic victory for Muslim women.

Rayouf Alhumedhi, a Saudi Arabian teen girl, studying in Berlin, submitted this proposal to Unicode. She said there is no image which represented her and there are many Christian and Jewish women who wear headscarves along with million of Muslims.


An other new emoji for Breastfeeding is proposed by a nurse in Britain for publicly acceptable in Western Society and an Orange heart for the LGBTQ community and many others.
