Seoul, South Korea: On this Sunday July 2, 2017. Samsung Electronics said they will start selling refurbished version of Galaxy note 7 on this July 07. Due to the embarrassing result of note 7 which was exploding batteries, they suffered billions of dollars in lost profit and also lost its global reputation.
Samsung’s Galaxy note 7 is coming back with new look. Just don’t call it Note 7.
Unsealed Note 7 handsets and unused components are outfitted with new
batteries, will be used in Refurbished Galaxy note 7s, Samsung said in a
statement. Samsung would offer a large screen and stylus to differentiate it
from many devices on the market. Samsung is upgrading Google's Android software
that runs on the device to make it the same as the interface on the Galaxy S8
and S8+. Other key features include fingerprint and eye scanner as well as
waterproofing. "Further enhanced with multiple safety designs",
Samsung said in a press release in Korean.
Samsung said,
Galaxy note 7s will be available on July 07, 2017 only in South Korea about
4,00,000 units. And also said they will decide later whether to release the
refurbished edition elsewhere, which is priced at 699,000 won ($611)
domestically, the previous version that was nearly $1,000. Galaxy Note 7
handsets were returned to the firm about three million last year. The Galaxy
Note FE (Fan Edition) will be environment-friendly project that would try to
cover the waste of resources,” Samsung said in a statement.
This recall of South Korean tech giant was deeply embarrassing
for Samsung, so they launched a new flagship device, the Galaxy S8, for better
result, positive reviews and strong orders.
They are just trying to re-establish the brand ahead of any potential
Note 8 launch.
There are some Rumors that suggests us not Samsung Galaxy
note 7 because Samsung will announce its
new Galaxy Note 8 in August, so most people will likely skip this Fan Edition
and wait for the Note 8. The Note 8 is expected to include a dual-camera system
and a slightly larger curved display than the Galaxy S8 Plus.
