Facebook has build a team which is working on a technology
that can read our mind. They are trying to build a “thinking cap” which could
see inside our minds. Someone’s mind reading might be as easy as wearing a cap
on head.
Mark Zuckerberg’s has a dream of reading eachother’s thoughts so that they could
communicate much better.
Facebook has a secret Hardware Research Division which was
created last year to develop “Brain computer interface” technology. Facebook
offered different jobs for 8 group to complete this project including “electrophysiological
data” and “neuroimaging” to create communication station of the future.
Brain Computer interface engineer should have Ph.D in
neuroscience who can work on related project from”inception to product” over a
two year period. In 2015 Facebook CEO Mark Zukerberg said that the company is
going to work on brain controlled a telepathic communication device. He said that “ One day, i believe we’ll be
able to send full rich thoughts to each other directly using this technology,”.
“Non-invasive techniques”
Neuroimaging is an advanced science that uses different
techniques to understand whats going in human mind and Hap-tic science generate
a sense of touch with computers.Mark Chevillet joined facebook in september as
a “technical project lead”. He was a
former program manager of applied neuroscience at John Hpkins University. Its
not clear that what type of technology can help to allow this vision. Different
companies have tried to measure brain signals and its quite possible that
facebook also have same approach. Facebook a largest social network over the
world at now in front of technology and science.
A new building 8 of
Facebook will now produce consumer hardware products which is advanced facebook
mission for connecting the world. Building 8 is working on serveral internal
projects. Facebook announce the partnership with 17 universities and building
8 in December for scientific research.
