Google has introduced new features for Android and IPhone
users. It includes successful navigation, sharing of real-time locations with
friends and families, new travel time graph among with a common direction
route.
Google map users can look at all the places they have
visited in the last few days, weeks and months. This brilliant aide-memoir is
for those who want to recall a particular journey or remember any place they
visited few days ago.
Google offers an option in the Map for users to edit the
information in your time line, including place names and addresses to ensure
everything about your travels is correct and accurate. Maps users can also
delete the data location history from a date range to entire history.
Map users can customize their modes of transportation and
activities like horseback riding etc. So with your timeline on Google Map,
Android and desktop users could revisit the things very quickly. iOS Google Map
users can join and see a daily snapshot of life. Google Maps summerise the all the locations you have visited
and send it to you via email.
Google Maps helps users not only how to get somewhere or how
long the trip should take but when is the best time to leave the place. A new
bar graph will also show an estimate of both how long it would have taken an
hour earlier and how much long it will take in the next upcoming hours. This
feature is only available for Android users.
Another feature of Google Map is the ability to see the
Street View imagery of the journey. You can see the new images by simply
entering to your location or destination and then tap to view the route. This
feature is available for users worldwide after a slow roll out started earlier
in the month. This feature is not available for iOS.
In older versions, you just see a list of arrows for turns,
but now photo thumbnail of the road will be presented to you. By tapping the
thumbnail, you will see a 360 degree street view, showing directions where you
will be travelling. The mistake is only in this feature is that, the name/label
of the houses are not correct.
