BMW announced on Tuesday
that they are planning to electrify all models and brands including both BMW
and Mini. Electric battery models will help power plug in hybrids with standard
gas variants. They are not removing the gas engines.
Volvo automaker company is also working to electrify the
whole models and brands.
Not only the Volvo automaker company, other brands are also
working on the EV cars (Electric Vehicles) Like Toyota, Volkswagen, Tesla etc. Because
this is the need of the generation to minimize the consumption of the fuel.
BMW Hybrid Cars will be the next generation platform that
will provide multi modes: Gasoline, EVs and PHEVs to be assembled.
BMW will start this plan in i8 Roadster plug in hybrid in
2018 three door mini Hardtop. That will go in the production in 2019. In 2020
there will be BMW X3 crossover battery electric vehicle.

to work on a large scale, so they would try to leverage that as it attempts to
grab as much of this market as possible.
BMW is not the first company who is announcing to change the
whole line up by electrifying. Volvo also announced in July to intend the whole
setup by electrifying. And Toyota Motor Corporation is trying to improve
the Toyota EV car performance and charging timing. They are working on a new
type of battery that increase the range of driving and minimize the charging
time, will be available for public in 2022.
They will need just on 20 to 30 minutes to recharge with
fast chargers and they will provide you a range of 300 to 400 kilometers
(185-250 miles).
