Chinese Traffic Jam Solution ( Traffic-Straddling Bus) Fails

The so-called ( Traffic straddling bus ) was planned to minimize the traffic jam in China. And everyone was amazed to know about that invention. This was the biggest news last year, media caught fire about that news. Each person was talking about the bus, eating cars. And how people would drive under that bus.

Bus was supposed to ride on tracks, and its body is large enough that two cars can pass underneath. About 1200 passengers were to have ridden between specialized stops.

The developer of the bus said, prototype were being constructed, and that five cities had signed contracts with their company for pilot-project.

The world was shocked about that news and CNN sent its reporter to investigate about it deeply. And they discovered a “ hulking eyesore” that was causing traffic and people were disappointed from it.

This bus was criticized with many question, installation of tracks and stations are too much expensive, tall trucks couldn’t be able to pass by. And small vehicles and pedestrians would also face trouble.

“ Cars under the belly of the big vehicle would have no way to change direction, and even changing lanes would be dangerous,” The Beijing News said last year.

There were many delays in testing TEB or Transit Elevated Bus in northern seaside town of Qinhangdao. And then it was tested in August last year.

Police in Beijing are investigating the elevated bus company whether the company was raising money illegally through online portal.

“ We are just a private Tech company. We are not a briefcase company for illegal fund-raising.” Zhang Wei, the director of development and planning for TEB Tech.

“ Everything we do is approved by related departments in the government, and if we are an illegal company with financial issues, why are the local governments still interested in us?” Huaying Kailai subsidiary that developed the bus.

This track was 72-feet long, 16-feet-high, 330-yard, became useless. And the local government would not allow to continue this project.

The Government of China announced that theory are trying to remove the tracks on which the so called traffic straddling bus was supposed to run at the end of the month.

“ The truth is the bus was a fake science investment scam, with no scientific innovation,” a Beijing News op-ed said on Monday. “ The test was nothing more than a trick to attract investors.”

But it’s good that China is making an effort to control to traffic pollution.
